Escalating Middle East Strife

These are excerpts taken from my current book, the expanded edition of: A Better World Is Coming Soon - Don’t Miss It, as it relates to the ongoing situation in and around Syria. This article also documents some events that have led up to the current situation in Syria.

Before the Tribulation begins, there will be great devastation in Egypt. Considering what we currently hear and read in the daily news headlines, this prophecy (tied in with the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39) is nearing its time of fulfillment. Egypt is plagued with problems, protests and extreme political upheaval. Syria is at a boiling point.

“The word of Jehovah came again unto me, saying, Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Wail ye, Alas for the day! For the day is near, even the day of Jehovah is near; it shall be a day of clouds, a time of nations, and a sword shall come upon Egypt, and anguish shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt; and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down, Ethiopia, and Put [Libya], and Lud and all the mingled people, and Cub, and the children of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword. Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down” (Ezekiel 30:1-8, emphasis added).

We know that a number of intense Middle East wars have already taken place in our lifetime. To some degree, war is constantly going on around Israel. Russia is a staunch ally of Iran, and if there is a war involving Iran, it could be a precursor to bring about or hasten the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39. After all, Russia is prophesied to lead the Muslim alliances against Israel (Ezekiel 38:18). In the book of Isaiah, there is a prophecy that has not yet been fulfilled:

“The burden against Damascus. Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city. And it will be a ruinous heap” (Isaiah 17:1).
Syria is just Iran’s proxy. Russia also, is a great ally and defender of Syria arming the anti-Israel neighbor with missiles and other weapons. Damascus is a major hub for terrorists. There is a very strong possibility that the future destruction of this ancient city will be somehow tied into the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 when the Russians, along with the group of primarily Islamic nations attempt to destroy Israel. As previously stated, that attack will end in defeat for that perverse coalition because of God’s supernatural intervention. The destruction of Damascus could very well jumpstart that attack against Israel (Ezekiel 39 and 39 battle).

Syria’s involvement in the ongoing aggression to eliminate Israel will bring catastrophe to that nation. Additionally, current news reports point to extreme political and civil devastation growing within Syria. In 2007, Israeli intelligence discovered that in the desolate Syrian Desert, a facility was in the process of manufacturing nuclear weapons. It was being aided by North Korea. Of course, Israel did what she had to do and sent a few jets overhead to take care of the problem. The Israelis were able to unscramble the radar so the visit was a complete surprise to the Syrians and everyone else involved, including Iran. It is often said that Syria is just Iran’s proxy. Russia also, is a great ally and defender of Syria arming the anti-Israel neighbor with missiles and other weapons.

The Syrian Incident (2007):

A TOP-SECRET operation was launched in the middle of August. The Israeli commando wearing Syrian uniforms managed to get to the Syrian Desert and get a hold of a sample of the suspected material.

Lab-checks proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that the worst of Israel’s nightmares is right at our doorstep. ISRAEL IS ABOUT TO MISS DISTANT IRAN. NOW SYRIA IS ALREADY A NUCLEAR THREAT!!
Syria was busted. The world knows it. Syria is now with its back to the wall. Any wrongdoing and Damascus will be destroyed, Buckle your seat belts. As I stated before: The next biblical event I can see that will be fulfilled is the Scripture below:
“The burden against Damascus. Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.” ─Isaiah 17:1
Syria will be dealt with first to cause the others to be exposed and then act in reaction with aggression! The escalation will most likely not happen before the coming US presidential-elections. America must first elect a president that will cause America to withdraw its troops from Iraq and then the mice will come out of their holes. Then I believe Ezekiel’s prophecy of Gog and Magog will be fully fulfilled!
─Amir Tsarfati’s comments from “The Syrian Incident”

In February of 2011, Western Intelligence agencies discovered another nuclear plant in Syria─in a Damascus suburb. In addition, a German newspaper, the Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ), reported that it received photos of the site, but will not publish them because inferences can be made as to when they were taken, and thus to who leaked them.In addition, Washington’s Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) published photos on February 23, 2011 of one of three more sites that are believed to be connected to the Al-Kibar facility destroyed in 2007, as reported in Arutz Sheva, Israel National News on February 24, 2011.

News report speculations come to life:

Syria WMD report: ‘Country is a chemical powder keg ready to explode’ www.worldtribune.com - March 22, 2012

WASHINGTON - President Bashar Assad could order weapons of mass destruction attacks to save his regime, a report said. The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies asserted that Assad could employ Syria’s massive WMD arsenal against any rising Sunni revolt. In a report, the center warned that the Damascus regime could also fire biological or chemical weapons to stop any foreign military intervention to save the rebels. Damascus, which hasn’t signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, possesses chemical weapons, surface-to-surface missiles and Korean No-Dong/Scud-D missiles. “Indeed, in this fluid environment and uncharted territory, everything is possible,” the report, “Assad’s Toxic Assets,” said. The report said none of the scenarios could be ignored. The center recommended that the United States and its allies offer immunity to Syrian troops who protect WMD sites. “The country is a chemical powder keg ready to explode.”
Iranian Mouthpiece Media Calls on Syria to Attack Israel –

Syrian President Bashar Assad should attack Israel, says an Iranian newspaper considered the mouthpiece of the Supreme Leader. Iran is concerned that the fall of Assad’s regime will cost the Islamic Republic its closest ally and could ignite anti-Syrian elements in Lebanon, base of the Iranian-funded Hizbullah terrorist organization and political party.
The Kayhan newspaper, which operates directly under the supervision of the Islamic Supreme Leader of Iran, wrote last week that Assad has every reason to strike Israel because of Israel’s alleged responsibility for the bombing in Damascus, which killed several of Assad’s’ top military officers. The suicide blast has been widely attributed to Al Qaeda or other terrorists, if not the Syrian rebels themselves, and no journalist has even implied that Israel was involved.
The newspaper’s call for war cannot be taken lightly. Kayhan “offers insight into the most extreme views of Iran’s leaders and into the mind-set and plans of those who are at the center of power,” according to New York Times correspondent Michael Slackman. The daily charged that Israel’s military deployment along the Syrian border prior to the bombing was further evidence of its responsibility for it, even though the IDF has posted troops there ever since the Six-Day War in 1967.
As an important note of interest: On March 19, 2012, Russia sent troops into Syria to assist the tyrannical Assad regime with its bloodbath against anti-government protesters (9,000 dead mostly civilians and steadily increasing to over 60,000 plus by Jan.3, 2013 according to the U.N.’s Syria death toll).

Russia has also been strongly backing, Iran. Syria is about ready to explode and Damascus, its capital city, is in acute danger of being totally annihilated as violence increases. Although on or around March 27, 2012 UN envoy Kofi Annan made a deal with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad which may or may not prove to be anything more than window dressing to appease the rest of the world. I would say it is all a rouse─the savage dictator has anything but peace in mind for the people of Syria.

The day after the UN cease-fire deal was made fighting continued in several cities, raising concerns that Assad is buying regime time. Remember the Islamic principles of takiya and tawriya. I would say that is exactly what Assad is doing. Nothing good will come out of this situation and the violence and bloodshed will continue to escalate.

Nevertheless, the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy (Isaiah 17:1) appears to be getting closer by the moment. And the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 and 39 is very close to being fulfilled, especially considering that Russia is getting more blatantly involved with defending Israel’s most aggressive enemies.

Russia Sends Warships to Mediterranean: On July 11, 2012, The Journal of Turkish Weekly reported: Although for the last year Russia has tried to project an image of neutrality in the increasingly bloody conflict in Syria, it may be sending a signal of support to its longtime ally, President Bashas Al-Assad, by sending warships to the Mediterranean where Russia maintains a bas at Tartus, Syria. But with Russian navy ships from three Russian fleets now steaming toward Syria’s coast, the Kremlin seems to be sending a clear signal that it will stand by Assad.

Fireball over Damascus:

Israeli Jets Send Fireball Over Damascus in Strike Near Capital
Report: May 5, 2013 (Bloomberg) -- Israeli aircraft attacked military sites on the outskirts of Damascus, Syria said, sending a fireball over the capital in what a top Syrian official said amounted to a declaration of war. Israel didn’t confirm involvement.

What you have just read is a testament to the truths of Scripture; the accelerated pace in which the prophetic timeline of world history is moving forward─as forewarned by the prophets of old and by our Lord and Savior─the soon to come mighty King of Israel and of the world. Glory to Jesus the Messiah and may the enemies of Israel and God tremble as that day draws near.
